Perineum Pampering Bundle

Quite often the stretching of the perineum comes hand in hand with some grazing or tearing of the tissue. First time mums frequently find themselves with some tearing, swelling and sometimes an episiotomy. If you're a second or third time mum you may get off lightly with grazes and swelling. Some mums suffer with hemorrhoids after birth also from the vascular demand during pregnancy.

Sitz Bathing:

Post-birth recovery and healing -
These herbs offer natural healing and antiseptic qualities to nurture your perineum after vaginal birth and provide you with a moment of pleasure as your (frankly, incredible) body recovers.

Peri Bottle:
These might not be the prettiest of Peri Bottles on the market but we import our medical-grade Peri Bottles all the way from Canada because they’re the best of the best!

Their clever design with four small holes in the lid allows our soothing infusion of Perineum Herbs to be delivered slowly, protecting and gently flushing your perineum to encourage healing, naturally.

We only use the highest quality certified organic herbs. These herbs have been used for generations to support women, mothers before, during, and after pregnancy. The quality of our herbs enhances their reported therapeutic value.

Comfrey, Yarrow, Sage, Rosemary, Chamomile, Calendula, Lavender, Rose Petal, Kelp.

External use only.

Afterbirth Care:

Infusing Herbs -
Place half a cup (10 grams) of dry Perineum Herbs in a non-metal bowl and cover with one-three cups of near-boiling water. Use one cup of water for use with the peri bottle, three cups of water for use in the sitz bath.

Leave the herbs to infuse for at least 10-15 minutes.

Day 1 Onwards:
Once infused and cool, pour the warm herbal infusion into our Peri Bottle.

Keep it by the toilet and gently squirt the liquid onto your perineum while you’re urinating to help prevent stinging and to jumpstart the healing process naturally.

Day 3 Onwards:
Let the baths begin! For this healing practice, pour infusion into our Sitz Bath just deep enough for your perineum and rectum to be fully immersed. You may need to add more water to your bath.

Place the Sitz Bath on the ceramic bowl of your toilet (lifting the seat up) - sit, relax and enjoy for at least 15 minutes to let the herbs work their magic and repeat daily until healed.

Be sure to gently pat yourself dry when you’ve finished bathing.
